Well, other than the obvious of being overweight, what is your pet peeve.

Mine? Well for one, it’s normal size models modeling clothes in Big & Tall catalogs. I understand from my wife that it’s even more so a problem with women.

Another one of my pet peeves is this; as I get smaller, I have to work harder to burn calories! This just doesn’t seem right! I understand how it works, but I don’t like it.

I also hate seeing these workout video’s with a bunchh of skinny models working out. You and I both know that a good majority of them have not been an ounce over weight in their life, but here they are trying to show me how to workout by bending their head down between their knees and grabbing their butt. Yeah, like I could do that! This is one reason I like The Biggest Loser Workout DVD so well. I know those people who are working out on the DVD were my size at one time. I’m pretty sure they won’t be bending over, sticking their head through their legs and grabbing their butt.

Pet peeve number 4 would have to be the “Fat Free” and “Light” labels on food. I hate picking up something labeled “Light” only to find out that it’s loaded with fat or sugars. I figure if they’re trying to trick me now, then what else are they trying to trick me on. I know they fool many non-label readers into thinking they’re getting something that they’re not. There should  be some industry standard as to what “Light” or “Fat Free” means. Now having said that, I don’t want the Gov. to come up with the standards as we all know what a mess that will be. Let’s get together some consumer groups to develop the standards.

Speaking of standards, how about some standards in clothing? Why is it that I can by a 3x T-shirt from one store that fits me great and go to another store and find a 3x T-shirt that seems like it’s a size and half too small? What’s up with that! After the consumer group gets done standardizing food products, perhaps they can have a crack at standardizing clothes patterns for the clothes manufacturers!

While I’m on clothes, as a guy I hate shirts that are too small to cover my stomach. Oh, they’ll cover half my big butt but only come down to my navel. I really, really hate that! It tells me that a manufacturer obviously has no clue how to make clothes for big people! You’d think that the 3x or 4x label on the shirt would give them a clue that someone with a big belly was going to wear this shirt and they should ensure that the dimensions are proper to cover all of the upper torso.

Of course, if they did that, these same shirts wouldn’t look good on their normal size models trying to model Big & Tall size cothes, would they?
