Since I’ve been away the last week, I’m combining weeks 7 & 8 in one blog. No use wasting perfectly good internet space!

On week 7, we say Brian and Pam go home. I like both of them. Pam was the only female from the Red Team that I actually liked. However, she was also the one who’s total percentage of weight loss was always low. This pulled Brian down along with her.

The Teams split up into Duo’s, one man and one woman.

We also saw Kim take on Bob when she thought he was pushing Wylie too hard. Wylie had actually came to Bob and asked to train with him. Wylie wanted to be pushed harder and wanted some weight training.

Bob’s reaction was like “What??? You talkin’ to me?” LOL it was priceless.

Erik and Kai also were below the line and would have went home, but Kai had the Pass and was able to escape elimination by using it. Erik devised a plan to gain some weight so that they would be below the yellow line and Kai was forced to either use the Pass or go home. I think it’s safe to say that everyone was glad that the Pass is out of play now.

In week 8, we saw 6 of the “at home” contestants show up and vi for spots to replace Brian and Pam. The top 3 men and the top 3 women showed up.

A few of them have actually lost more weight than the contestants, however we find out that at least two of them have forgone the weight training to expedite their weight loss. This is great for short term weight loss, but it’ll burn you out and when you fall off the wagon, you normally fall hard and put all the weight back on.

The two new contestants at the Ranch are Jaron and Adrian. Both had run in’s with Kim and Bob. They had the “I know it all” attitude which didn’t set well with Bob or Kim. Although Jaron had lost a lot of weight, you could tell by looking at him that there had been no weight training. Bob had issues with his food diary also.

Jaron found Bob’s workouts a little too tough and ended choosing to train with Kim.

Needless to say, the contestants at the Ranch were not happy to see the newcomers.

In the end, Bobby and Heather fell below the line. Heather had gained weight in hopes that her and Bobby would end up in the elimination round. Well, her ploy worked and they were both up for elimination. Heather gambled that everyone would vote for Bobby because he was a threat to the other players. At the elimination round, Bobby was booted off. Truth be known, he was happy. He’s been homesick since week 1 and was ready to get back to his family.

The next few weeks are going to be very interesting as the show now turns to single competition. Heather has made it very clear several times that she does not want a man to win it this time. I have no idea why that would bother her, but he whole plan revolves around making sure a man doesn’t win. Hmmmm.

Erik and Marty are the two likliest to win. I think once Jaron starts adding a little muscle, his total weight loss will slow down. I can see the two new people plus Heather and Kai ganging up on Erick and Marty. I just hope they’re smart enough to see it coming.

Tune in Wed. night and we’ll see how this little drama will play out.
