This week we saw everyone competing as singles, no teams, no duo’s.
The show started off with Erik telling Bob that he had cast the final vote for Marty to be booted off the show. Bob was a little put out with Erik to say the least and I can’t blame him. For some reason, Erik does not see the Red Team members or the two new people as threats. By voting off his fellow team mates, Erik has made it much more difficult to survive should he fall below the yellow line.
This weeks challenge reward was a visit from a family member for the winning contestant. The Challenge worked like this. Each contestant had to carry the amount of weight they had lost up to that point around a track. At entervals, there were barrels that the contestants had to drop a weight into. This weight had to be in order of the week that they had lost that much weight.
Wylie jumped out to a huge lead over Erik and Jaron. Jaron soon overtook Erik. However, Wylie’s weight missed one of the barrels and Wylie had to go back and put it in the barrel. Adrian did this early on also. This probably cost Wylie the Challenge.
Erik quickly fell to the back of the pack with Kai. Adrian gained on Jaron but could not catch up to him. Wylie finished third and it looked like a photo finish between Erik and Kai.
At the weigh in, Jaron lost 8 lbs, Heather 5 lbs, Kai 7 lbs, Wylie 12 lbs, Erik 12 lbs and Adrian lost 2 lbs. This put Heather and Adrian below the yellow line.
Adrian started complaining that “That can’t be right”, “I don’t understand” over and over.
No surprises here. The original contestants took this chance to boot Adrian off the show.
5 are left and after next weeks show, we’ll see who the final 4 is.
If Erik can keep up the big numbers, he’ll stand a chance of making the final 4. However, he’s had three huge weight loss weeks in a row. Chances are good he’ll have a plateau next week or shortly after. We’ll have to wait and see if Bob can squeeze another 10+ lb week out of him.
I do believe he has a false sense of confidence that he can do it. Perhaps he needs to chat with Wylie about plateau’s.
I believe his only competition will be Wylie, Jaron and Kai.
Since all my favorites have been eliminated, I’m really not pulling for anyone. I guess if I had to make a choice, it would be Erik but I’m really unhappy how he’s played the game.
We’ll have to tune in next week to check out the people as they fight for a spot in the final 4.
