Week 9 of The Biggest Loser found the contestants competing as singles.

Right out of the gate, Adrian, the new member for the women, shows her immaturity by throwing a fit at the Challenge. She started in on Caroline Rhea about “how this Challenge is unfair” because “it’s 5 against 2″. Suggesting that the 5 senior Ranchers would be trying to do in the 2 new members.

Kai, who I disagree with 99% of the time, had the perfect come back. “It’s about as unfair as the two of you joining the game halfway through after being home with you families the first half of the game.”

The Challenge consisted of having a suspended platform 30 feet in the air and the contestants while the contestants peddled stationary bikes. Every time one of the contestants reach a 2 mile mark, they were allowed to choose someone else to be lowered by 10 feet. When a person reach the ground, they were eliminated. The last contestant remaining in the air would win the Challenge.

Adrians prophecy turned out to be fullfilled as her and Jaron were the first to be eliminated. One by one the veterans eliminated each other until it came down to Erik and Kai. The guys had a chance to eliminate Kai but appeared to be intimidated by her fit throwing. Kai has a fear of heights and would throw a fit everytime the platform was lowered.

Kai finally bested Erik and won immunity.

At the weigh in, there were some really good numbers. However, even after losing 8 lbs., Marty fell below the yellow line along with Wylie, who lost nothing.

At the elimination, Adrian and Jaron voted first and voted to eliminate Marty. Kai and Heather were next and voted to eliminate Wylie. Since he didn’t lose any weight this week, is in line to have a big weight loss next week. This was their stradegy and it was a pretty sound one.

The final vote came down to Erik.

He voted to eliminate Marty. Geez, I didn’t see that one coming. After he knifed Bobby last week, I really didn’t expect him to go after Marty. If Erik had really thought about it, he would have realized that Wylie stands to lose the most next week, perhaps putting Erik below the yellow line. If that happens, watch everyone else vote to send him home.

Apparently Erik doesn’t believe that the Red Team is a threat to him. After two weeks of big numbers, he may be thinking he can remain above the yellow line until the end. We’ll see.

I’m betting that the decision to kick Marty to the curb will come back to haunt him!

Don’t feel too bad for Marty. Marty has lost 140 lbs and looks absolutely amazing. He is actually ripped!

Until next week, try to be a loser will ya!
