Sorry for the delay in posting about Season 5 of The Biggest Loser. My family calls and I have to go help where I can!

Anyway, thanks to TiVo, I was able to watch all the episodes of Season 5 of The Biggest Loser. I have to say, in many ways, this was probably the most boring season ever, especially toward the end! I did like many of the Challenges and twist that The Biggest Loser Show threw at the contestants, but something just didn’t click for me this season.

Congratulations to Ali for winning Season 5 of The Biggest Loser. It was obvious when Roger walked out, that Ali had lost a higher percentage of weight. I’m glad America voted Roger into the top 3, I just don’t think he applied his self as much as he could have. I expected him to look like Erik did last year.

Anyhow, Ali deserves the win, she worked hard for it!

Season 5 of The Biggest Loser Recap

I did like the Couples theme this season. It was refreshing.

I also liked the fact that Kim wasn’t back. I just don’t think she had what it takes to field a winning team.

I liked Paul a lot. He was one of the bright spots in Season 5. I hated to see him go.

I was so freakin’ happy to see Brittany and Maggie go. Gosh, those two whined and bitched about everything. I couldn’t get over the comment Maggie made near the last about not being able to lose weight and how unfair it was that the Blue Team had all the guys. Then she proceeds to tell everyone that she’s been eating everything in site!

We were having dinner the other night with friends when the subject of The Biggest Loser Show came up and my friends Wife said “Did you notice that Jillian was favoring Brittany. Do you think there’s something between the two?”

My Wife and I busted out laughing since it was her that brought up the observation that Jillian was really favoring Brittany several episodes back. Apparently she’s not the only one who noticed that Jillian was sweet on Brittany!

My favorite was Dan. I was sure hoping that he would have made it to the season finale.

Mark…what can I say about Mark? Damn, near the end that guy was crying on cue! I was wondering if he lost all his male hormones along with his weight! Hey, I’m an emotional guy also, but I don’t cry at every little thing. I’m surprised he didn’t cry at the season finale!

Bernie I kinda liked. A little weird I thought, but I was happy to see that he won the At Home Challenge.

Biggest Loser Controversy?

Did anyone else notice the discrepancies in the time lines during Season 5? How about the last weigh in? Does anyone think it was only a week between the last weigh in the the previous weigh in? Then the contestants start putting up huge numbers?

The week they went home, I noticed that they let it slip that it was 2 weeks between weigh ins. Kai Hibbard let the cat out of the bag last year, but she was shut down pretty quick by the NBC brass and 3ball media.

C’mon guys, just weigh in every week and let us see real results!

I guess NBC and 3ball Media thinks we’re all a bunch of big fat losers who can’t put two and two together!

And another thing, what’s up with all the commericals. And when they get back from a commerical break, we have to watch a 5 minute recap of what happened before the commercial! Thank goodness for TiVo!

Auditions Underway For The Biggest Loser Teams

NBC is accepting aucition tapes now for new Teams. If you’re interested in trying out for The Biggest Loser, click here. You can send in an audition tape as an individual or as a Team.

The Biggest Loser Meal Plan

Did it surprise anyone that The Biggest Loser would come out with a meal plan? I guess they’re trying to be the next Nutra System.

It will be interesting to see how this new meal plan of theirs shapes up and whether or not it flops. Personally, I don’t think it will be a hit, but I’ve been wrong before!

I look forward to Season 6 of The Biggest Loser. It begins in October. Keep checking back here for updates and more weight loss info and tidbits!
