Now we have an honest to gosh “Hot Sauce Diet“. As a lover of hot peppers and most things spicy, I found the latest news on hot sauce and hot peppers to be uplifting. Of course, if you listen to the old timers from Mexico, they’ll all tell you the benefits of Peppers.

People in the “All Natural, Organic, Health” kick have long known of the benefits of hot peppers. Hot sauce comes in a wide variety and flavors. I’m sure if you try enough of them, you’ll find that suits your needs.

Here’s an article from CNN Health on the benefits of Hot Sauce: Click here for the article.

There’s now a new diet book called The Hot Sauce Diet.

This book was written by Dr. Spiro Antoniades who is an actively practicing orthopedic spine surgeon from Baltimore, Maryland. His knowledge on exercise and nutrition has been based on his education and medical practice.

Dr. Antoniades lost 70 lbs in one year by following his own hot sauce dieting advice. He recommends dousing your food with tabasco prior to eating it so you’ll eat slowly and drink lots of water.

To stop food cravings in their tracks, he recommends taking a shot directly from the bottle.

For those of us who typically overeat or binge eat, here’s what Dr. Antoniades recommends:

“For serious, inappropriate, uncontrollable hunger, I recommend a full swig of hot sauce straight from the bottle,” he writes. “I know this is drastic, but inappropriate hunger behavior needs to be punished. Once the swig is in your mouth, you should not swallow it immediately but rather swish it around like a wine connoisseur until the burning effect diminishes.”

I think the guy is on to something! I can tell you from experience, if you take a swig of tabasco directly from the bottle and swish it around in your mouth every time you have a craving, those cravings are going to be very scared to show their heads after a few shots!

So if you’re tired of over eating or grabbing food right and left between meals, grab a bottle of hot sauce and shake away those pounds! The Hot Sauce Diet is here to stay!
