What do you do when you can't seem to lose those last few pounds? I am interested in hearing everyone's approach.

I think it all depends on your build. If you have lost an extreme amount of weight, you may never reach that dream goal. Excess skin can be a problem. You also have to take into account any muscle mass that you may have gained while exercising. I know myself that I will never drop below 250 because of my genetic build. It sounds corny, but my whole family is actually big boned and built stout. Not everyone is the same.

When I can't seem to lose some pounds, I usually check back what I have been eating the last few days. Usually it is something fatty that I forgot I wasn't supposed to eat.

I let my body rest for a few days. No exercising and eat what I want in proportion. Then on the 4th day I get back into my routine with a heavy cardio and weight training session.
Works for me,
Betty

I just change things up a bit. Sometimes, I get in a rut of eating the same thing, doing the same exercise routine, etc. I might even get a bit more, and then try a different exercise. I think our bodies adapt to what we are doing, and it doesn't have the same effect. Just give it some time!

We it seems like I am not losing I usually like to pop in an exercise video and do a different type of exercising for a few. Sometimes I will just like the above poster stated and try some different types of foods that are still good for you and then after a few days start up my regular diet.

This sounds like a good idea when things get boring and stale. I've also just waited a few days like someone
else said and then after starting up again, I usually get back on track.

Hello everyone,
Have you been doing the same thing for a while? This is usually the cause of a plateau. Understand that the human body wants to put itself in a position of efficiency. In other words, it doesn't want to change the way you want it to. You need to have weight training, ESD work (cardio) and a sound nutrition plan to achieve your objective. What you do should be changed from month to month to prevent staleness or a plateau to occur.

Just a note to say I've taken a protein drink the last month from Max Muscle and have lost over 5 pounds. I'm thrilled. I admit to being in my 40's, metabolism has changed and even though I work out with weight training, inline skating and the like, I had not been able to lose but only gained pounds over the past year. Only difference has been substituting a meal with their Gourmet Max Whey Protein Shake and I think I'm on the right road.

Hi yah!
Do you do running? If it is part of your regimen, I would suggest choosing a new place to run every week. Somewhere you have never been or some place you've always wanted to see and visit. Mix your travel plans with your exercise plan and hit two birds with one stone.
Getting out and seeing someplace new gets me up and out of my bed to get those pounds off. Maybe this will help you get those last few that you obviously so want to get off.
Cheers!

Add a lot more cardio to your routine and watch what you eat. That will help you break the barrier

My wife and I had the same problem, we start losing weight then for some reason we stop, we where doing the same things, a friend of us that is a doctor tell us that, the reason is because, the digestion system has been disrupted and it needs to be restore, after looking for products to improve our digestion, we found a few but we don't see any improvement because, was only targeting the digestion problem superficially, we spoke with a nutrition doctor and she mention the pro fat burner product, we take one capsule day, in the morning, we find that the benefits come restoring the enzyme gastric acids in the stomach, and also burn body fat during sleep and during the day, and also prevents the metabolism of fat before is digested when you eat, we don't feel hyper like some other product make you feel, this product works really good because, after an hour of taking the pill we go expel without any pressure, I even feel more healthy, we buy it @ www.oxymass.com/weightloss/pro-fat-burner.html we hope this help for you.

Fix it. Sometimes the most important relationship requiring rescuing is the one within ourselves. The grieving process isn’t universal, we all travel at different paces, but remember this process isn’t your destination, acceptance and happiness are. Understand you wont be here forever and the first step is accepting this. Every long journey begins with a single step and every journey continues so long as you place one small step in front of the other. Focus on little progressions rather than wallowing and wondering when this pain will be over; it will be eventually and I promise, but for now focus on what you can do.
You need to first Identify your conscious and ask yourself whether you’re trying to move on or hoping the two of you will be together again. Unfortunately, your journey will never truly begin until you have accepted the ending of your relationship. I know it stings, but you absolutely need to accept this. Clinging on false hopes will only stagnate your well-deserved happiness and loving.
Secondly, express yourself healthily but avoid being overwhelmed; be mad, be angry, sometimes we can’t get over a situation without hearing ourselves. Don’t worry about releasing anything to your ex because it’ll only complicate things. FEEL these feelings instead of bottling them so you’re friendly with the most critical and important person out there; yourself.
