The subway diet is actually very good for you. Not only do they have all the kinds of vegetables and meat and bread for you to choose from, you get a wide assortment of nutrition while eating at Subway.

Preferably, I usually get Wheat Bread, Country Club, and everything on it, with no mayo.

Have any of you tried the subway diet?

I think the subway diet isn't legitimate. You can't just eat subs and lose weight. You need to exercise and life a healthy lifestyle aswell. Although certain subs might be healthy, i doubt you can lose weight by just eating subs alone.

Well, according to Jared, the Subway spokesman, you can just eat subs and loose weight!  Roll Eyes

That's true. But, Subway does help you gain the nutrients you need while you exercise. As long as you eat subway and then exercise, you should notice that you are losing weight.

A diet cannot comprise of mainly subs in my opinion.  However, if you are going to eat on the run, there are several healthy choices you can make at Subway.

I would get soooo bored eating the same thing every day!  The way I look at the subway
diet is that I can go in there *once in a while* and have a sub... one of healthy low fat
offerings, and it won't be more calories than what I would have cooked for dinner.  But
not often.  Unfortunately my favorite subway sandwich is not on their healthy menu.  Sad

I absolutely love Subway.  They have the feshest bread of any sub shop I have been to.  But I dont see how eating Subway everyday will help you lose weight.  I mean it is bread after all.  Am I missing something here?

If you have very bad eating habits and a lot of weight to lose, switching to subs will help you take the weight down, especially if you control your portions. That is one of the biggest things you will have to do to lose weight eating subway all the time. You can't just go in and enjoy, you will have to be very strict with portion control. As you lose weight, you would have to cut back on some of the bread because it is extremely calorie dense and eventually you would plateau. You would of course plateau sooner if you're not exercising.

Can you do it? Yep. But then again, you could lose weight eating McD's or Chef Boyardee. Those aren't your healthiest options in the world, but with careful portion/calorie control, you could do it.

It feels good to feel fit.
